I was free-writing that morning, trying to capture a rhythm, a particular line in my ear I couldn’t quite make out in words. It wasn’t “real” writing, perhaps, but it felt valuable, if only as practice, sounding out sentences that had yet to take shape.
Munchkin, however, did not seem impressed.
